Things to look out for.
It all depends on the function type. For a children’s birthday a village or church hall is fine, some schools now hire their hall too.
For a special birthday like an 18th or 21st, it is a good idea to hire a hall from a public house or better still a club. Not a night club but a local rugby, football or cricket club with a bar.
Make sure it is a private booking venue. These are normally a better function as the public cannot enter.
Always take time to visit the venue. You may get there and wished that you had looked around first.
A bad venue can end a night before it starts.
For weddings SHOUT DISCO would suggest a hotel, castle, manor house or similar. However we do understand that finances must be taken into consideration. Even a home can be a perfect venue given the right touch.
All that said and done, your function is what you make it. It is all a question of “Is the glass half empty or half full”?
